▪️ When is the /y/ sound pronounced or not?

 - This phoneme is pronounced (y) and its pronunciation applies to the Y, as well as the letter (u).

 - Examples with the letter h (yet, yes, beauty, bay, you, year, yesterday)

 - Examples with the letter (unit, university, use, Europe, united) (u)

 The two letters (ue) at the end of a word are not pronounced like (technique, cheque)

 ▪️ When is the /k/ sound pronounced or not?

 The letter (k) is pronounced in each of the following words (king, keep, key, like, book, look)

 The (k) is not pronounced if it is followed by the letter n, such as (know, knife, knee, known).

 - Sometimes the letter (q) is pronounced as the /k/ sound in some words such as (queen, quite, liquid)

 The letter (c) is pronounced as the sound /k/ if it is followed by any letter except the following letters (e, i, y).

Such as (cat, cut, come, local, traffic)

▪️ When is the /L/ sound pronounced or not?

 The letter (L) in its pronunciation is divided into two types:

 - The letter (L) diluted (Light)

 The heavy (L) letter (Dark)

 The letter is pronounced reduced if it comes after one of the vowel sounds or if it comes after the letter (y), such as:

(light, love, clean, clay, complain, incline, play, luck, fly)

 The letter is pronounced heavy if it is followed by a correct sound or if it comes at the end of the word like

(film , always , well , fool , table, fondle , call)

▪️ When is the /m/ sound pronounced or not?

 The letter (m) is pronounced at the beginning, middle and end of the word like (much, simmer, ram, number, simper).

▪️ When is the /n/ sound pronounced or not?

 The letter n is pronounced in each of the following words (nut, stinner, run, sandder, now, any, can)

 - The letter n is not pronounced if it comes at the end of the word and is preceded by a letter (m) such as (damn, autumn)

 When is the /p/ sound pronounced or not?

 The letter (p) is pronounced at the beginning, middle and end of the word, such as (pay, pig, appear, stop, spy, spot, cup).

 The letter (p) is not pronounced in some words such as (chipboard, cupboard)

  ▪️متى يلفظ او لا يلفظ صوت / Y /  

 - يلفظ هذا الرمز الصوتي (ي) وينطبق لفظه على الـ Y وكذلك حرف الـ (u)

 - امثلة مع حرف ال       (yet, yes, beauty, bay, you, year, yesterday)

 - امثلة مع حرف الـ (unit , university , use , Europe , united ) (u) 

 - لا يلفظ الحرفان (ue) في نهاية الكلمة مثل (technique , cheque)

 ▪️متى يلفظ او لا يلفظ صوت / k /  

 - يلفظ الحرف (k) في كل من الكلمات الاتية (king , keep , key , like , book , look )

 - لا يلفظ الـ (k) اذا جاء بعده حرف الـ n مثل ( know , knife , knee , known )

 - احياناً يلفظ حرف الـ (q) كصوت /k/ في بعض الكلمات مثل (queen , quite , liquid)

 - يلفظ حرف الـ (c) كصوت /k/ اذا جاء بعده اي حرف عدا الاحرف التالية ( e , i , y )

مثل (cat , cut , come , local , traffic)

▪️  متى يلفظ او لا يلفظ صوت / L /  

 - ينقسم حرف الـ ( L ) في لفظه الى نوعين هما :

 – حرف الـ ( L ) المخفف (Light)

 – حرف الـ ( L ) الثقيل (Dark)

 - يلفظ الحرف مخففاً اذا جاء بعد احد اصوات العلة او اذا جاء بعد حرف الـ ( y ) مثل

‏(light , love , clean , clay , complain , incline , play , luck , fly )

 - يلفظ الحرف ثقيلاً اذا جاء بعده صوت صحيح او اذا جاء في نهاية الكلمة مثل

‏(film , always , well , fool , table, fondle , call)

▪️ متى يلفظ او لا يلفظ صوت / m /

 - يلفظ الحرف (m) في بداية ووسط ونهاية الكلمة مثل (much , simmer , ram , number , simper )

▪️ متى يلفظ او لا يلفظ صوت / n /

 - يلفظ الحرف n في كل من الكلمات الاتية (nut , stinner , run , sandder , now , any , can )

 - لايلفظ حرف الـ n  اذا جاء في نهاية الكلمة وكان مسبوقاُ بحرف (m) مثل (damn , autumn)

 - يلفظ الحرف (p) في بداية ووسط ونهاية الكلمة مثل (pay , pig , appear , stop , spy , spot , cup )

 - لا يلفظ الحرف (p) في بعض الكلمات مثل (chipboard , cupboard)
