Phonetics
Phonetics: It is the science that studies human voices from different and integrated aspects, starting with the sound leaving the vocal corridor and ending with the sound reaching the ear and then the brain.
Human voices are divided into two types:
▪️ Correct or consonant sounds

Vowel Sounds
For the sake of proper reading and correct pronunciation, we have provided an explanation of the most important correct sounds, which number twenty-five, but we have dealt with examples and explanations of most of them.

Are the sounds in which the air is obstructed when the sound exits the vocal passage by the speech organs, whether by narrowing (as in the pronunciation of the sine) or by the complete closing of the lips (as in the case of the bae pronunciation) and before we start this is a table of sounds.

When is the /b/ sound pronounced or not?
This sound is pronounced at the beginning, middle, or end of the word, such as
( big , table , rub )
- But the letter (b) is not pronounced if it comes at the end of the word
It was preceded by the letter (m) like (comb, dumb).
- The letter (b) is not pronounced in some words such as
(climbed , climber , doubt , debt )

When is the /c/ sound pronounced or not?
- The letter (c) is pronounced as a sound (s) if it is followed by one of the following letters (e, i, y) as
(cell , ice , city , center)
The letter (c) is pronounced as the sound /k/ if it is followed by any letter other than the following letters
(e, i, y) as (cat, cut, come, local, traffic)
- The letter (c) is sometimes pronounced /ʃ/ if the following letters (ea, ia, ie, io) are followed by it.
( special , official )
When is the /d/ sound pronounced or not?
The letter (d) is pronounced in each of the following words
(do, done, dog, add, odd, did, debt)
- The letter (d) is not pronounced if it is followed by the letter (g) such as (bridge, knowledge, fridge)
The letter (d) is not pronounced in some words such as (handsome, sandwich, adjective).
The letter (d) is pronounced as the /dʒ/ sound in some words such as (soldier, graduate)

When is the /f/ sound pronounced or not?
The letter (f) is pronounced in each of the following words (fit, after, if)
The two letters (gh) are pronounced with /f/ at the end of the word, such as (enough, laugh, tough)
- But there is an exception to the rule above, as the letters (gh) are not pronounced in some words such as
(sigh , high , weigh , though , although)
Pay attention to the word (of), the letter (f) is pronounced /v/, and the word (off), the letter (f) is pronounced /f/
The two letters (ph) are pronounced /f/ in the following words
(phone, photo, orphan, elephant, pharmacy)

The letter (g) is not pronounced when it comes
before the letter n like

(gentle, general, origin, digit, genius)

The letter (h) is pronounced in each of the following words (hat, hot, has, hello, hip, hung)
- The (h) is not pronounced if it comes at the end of the word, such as (ah, oh)
The letter (h) is not pronounced in some words such as (hour, honor, honest, vehicle, heir)

علم الصوتيات (phonetics) : هو العلم الذى يدرس الأصوات
البشري دراسة علمية من جوانب مختلفة ومتكاملة بدءًا من خروج الصوت من الممر الصوتى
وانتهاءً بوصول الصوت إلى الأذن ثم المخ فيُسمع ويُدرَك حيث
تنقسم الاصوات
البشرية الى نوعين هما :
▪️الاصوات الصحيحة او الصوامت
(Consonant Sounds)
الاصوات العلة او
الصوامت
(Vowel Sounds)
ومن اجل القراءة
السليمة والنطق الصحيح وضعنا شرح اهم الاصوات الصحيحة والتي يبلغ عددها خمسة
وعشرون الا اننا قد تناولنا بالامثلة والشرح معظمها .
▪️الاصوات الصحيحة
هي الاصوات التي
يتم اعاقة الهواء فيها عند خروج الصوت من الممر الصوتي من قبل اعضاء الكلام سواء
بالتضيق (كما في نطق السين) او بالغلق التام للشفاه (كما في حالة نطق الباء) وقبل
ان نبدأ هذا جدول بالاصوات .
